Tchoukball Equipment Arrived:
The partnership Tchoukball equipment consisting of 2 rebound frames, 30 knees pads and 15 balls has arrived! Any school wishing to borrow the equipment should contact us at Samuel Ward where it is being stored.
Year 5 & 6 Kwik Cricket Festival:
On Friday 13th June the year 5 & 6 Kwik Cricket festival took part at Long Melford Cricket Club. 6 Middle Schools entered from both the Haverhill and Sudbury half of the partnership. After a series of exciting games, with each side playing 5 matches the eventual winners were Parkway Middle School. More pictures and a further report can be found on our website.

Adam Dellar: Cricket Coach, sessions available in September:
Our community Cricket Coach Adam Dellar has some time slots available for the 1st term back in September. He is available on a Monday or Tuesday to run a lunchtime or afterschool session at your school. If you would like to book him, please contact us.
Year 3/ 4 Tri Golf Festival:
On Wednesday July 9th from 1pm – 3pm we will be holding a Tri-Golf Festival at Samuel Ward Arts & Technology College. The festival is open to years 3 & 4. Teams must consist of 5 girls and 5 boys. There will be a number of different activities that will test the children’s putting and chipping skills. The event is sponsored by Balmforth Estate Agents so a trophy and medals will be provided to the winning team. To enter contact Nick Kemp by July 3rd
Year 3 / 4 Rounders Festival:
On Wednesday July 2nd from 3.30pm – 4.30pm we will be holding a Primary School Rounders Festival for Year 3 or 4. This will take place at Samuel Ward Arts & Technology College. Teams must consist of 8 players; 4 girls and 4 boys. The event is sponsored by Dolland & Aitchison who have provided a trophy and medals for the winning team. To enter please contact Nick Kemp by Friday 27th June.
Year 2 Tag Rugby Festival:
The culmination of a two week joint venture by Haverhill Rugby Club and the School Sports Partnership finished with a fantastic Year 2 Tag Rugby Festival at Haverhill Rugby Club on Wednesday 18th June. Over the last three weeks Coaches from the club and SSCOs have been visiting all the Primary Schools in and around Haverhill to provide taster sessions on the game. As a result 11 Schools and over 120 pupils took part in the festival which highlighted some of the skills they have learnt. Twenty two games were played with lots of trys scored, the eventual semi finalists being Stanley Drapkin, Kedington, Westfield and St Felix. An exciting final was then played out between St Felix and Kedington, Kedington running out the eventual winners. More pictures and information can be found on our webpage.
